I wanted to make another Valentine advent for my family (you all know how much I love advents) and this is what I came up with. I'm excited about it because it can be used in so many different ways. I have thought of having a gift a day inside each envelope. I thought about having a treasure hunt daily and the clues would be inside the envelope. I also thought of having valentine activities a day. You could put treats or notes inside the envelopes. The ideas are endless.

To get started with this project I got an envelope the size that I wanted the felt envelopes to be.

I opened the flap of the envelope and traced it onto my felt for the first piece. For the second piece and closed the flap and traced onto my felt. I used four different colors. I did 4-red, 4-light pink, 3-white, and 3-dark pink.

I then took my rectangle piece and placed it on top of the other piece. Using embroidery thread I stitched the two pieces together.

I then folded the flap down and stitched on top only stitching through one layer (so you can still open your envelope.

I then cut hearts from my felt, no pattern just folded the felt and cut a half shape heart.

I then took embroidery thread and stitched around the heart.

I then glued the heart to the front of the envelope flap with fabric glue.

I then added self adhesive
Velcro.

Then I stitched number to each of my envelope.

And that's what they looked like to this point.

To create the banner look, I took some ribbon and hot glued the corners of each envelope to the the ribbon.

And there you have it. It didn't take that long to make and I absolutely love it. I hope you do to.
