I opened the flap of the envelope and traced it onto my felt for the first piece. For the second piece and closed the flap and traced onto my felt. I used four different colors. I did 4-red, 4-light pink, 3-white, and 3-dark pink.
I then took my rectangle piece and placed it on top of the other piece. Using embroidery thread I stitched the two pieces together.
I then folded the flap down and stitched on top only stitching through one layer (so you can still open your envelope.
I then cut hearts from my felt, no pattern just folded the felt and cut a half shape heart.
I then took embroidery thread and stitched around the heart.
I then glued the heart to the front of the envelope flap with fabric glue.
I then added self adhesive Velcro.
Then I stitched number to each of my envelope.
And that's what they looked like to this point.
To create the banner look, I took some ribbon and hot glued the corners of each envelope to the the ribbon.
And there you have it. It didn't take that long to make and I absolutely love it. I hope you do to.
